Garlic!!! What more can I say? (Actually there are too many "favorites" to name) Debbie at Montgomery Town Library
My all-time favorite is the poppy. It's such a simple looking flower, yet stately. When the wind blows, it's a beautiful sight, bright dots of color.
I am in the process of planning my garden for the spring- just as soon as the ground is thaw enough to digpoppy in! Some fo my favorite plants int he garden are sweet william, beebalm and snow peas.

I'd like to say a few words on behalf of the Clivia. It is a houseplant that even I can keep alive and blooming. A few times a year it rewards you with a spectacular cluster of orange flowers about 5 inches in diameter. Each flower produces a round seedpod that turns from green to dark red. The best thing is that the broad, strappy leaves look good year around.

Daffodils! With their cheerful yellow, they are a welcome sight after a long, cold winter. -Petra
