Park at the Sterling Lodge at the Notch and hike up the ski trail to the top of Madonna to see the sunset. Do this on a clear night with a full moon and then hike down. Beautiful! -Sandy

Moose Mountain in Barton-provides amazing views of Willoughby and all the surrounding peaks up through Canada!

Oops! I commented instead of edited. Mount Worcester. See below!

I love Brousseau Mountain waaaay up in the Northeast Kingdom in Norton.  The hike is short, the view of Little Averill Lake is awesome, and it's on a flyway so you can watch the birds soar.  Bring your kayak for a wonderful paddle around this still relatively undeveloped pond after your hike.  Emily

Mount Worcester near Montpelier. Gorgeous, usually quiet, and a good sitting spot at the top.

Help me out with the location of Moose Mountain. I've hiked Wheeler and Bald which afford both afford similar views but don't know where Moose Mt. is.

Camel's Hump and the White Mountains. I can't remember where we hiked in the White Mountains this summer but it was amazing! Our daughter is attempting all the major peaks in Vermont and New HAmpshire and we are trying keep up with her.
